Our spring Vacation

About two years ago I bought myself a magnetic black beaded bracelet, then about a year later it broke. The magnetic clasp became untied. On our trip to Vegas I was hoping to find a little shop that could fix it, since there use to be little jewelry shops all over New Mexico and Nevada that would make and sell jewelry and sell on the road. Any way they don't do that any more, at lease no place that we saw. Then we were walking around at Planet Hollywood at the Miracle Mile shops and we found some one to fix it. Yeah, I was so happy. Then on the way home, some were in New Mexico, I looked down and saw that it wasn't there. We talked about it and thought maybe it fell off while I was digging in the back seat, sure enough there it was on the floor of the back seat. So I put it back on and off we went again. We stoped at a Mc Donald's in Nebraska and as we drove off I looked down again and it was gone. I guess I wasn't meant to have that bracelet. :( Then there is the story of the lost purse. What would be the odds in Las Vegas to set your purse down at a casino and walk away, only to realize maybe 10 minutes later that you don't have it, run back to where it should be only to find that it is gone!! Well I just started thinking that's the last time I was going to see that, then I started to think, what about my credit cards?? We made copies of them for that reason, but never thought we would need it. So I was thinking where did I put that stupid paper. We asked a security guard what we should do and he suggested that we check the security desk of the Casino. By the time we made it to the desk I was in tears. The guy behind the counter pulls out a clear plastic bag with my purse in it and I just stared and said Oh my god! It's my purse. They took out my ID to make sure it was mine and we had to sign for it, but every thing was in there I couldn't believe it. Wow what are the odds?? Well that's really the only luck that I had while we were there. I put maybe $25. in to the slot machines, won a little payed that, and eventually lost it. That's the extent of our gambling. We went to the "Price is Right" show that they have at Bally (another Casino) It was fun but I think it would have been much more exciting if we would have been called down. It was similar to the real show except they changed players after each game to give more people a chance to play. Then when it was time for the final game with the BIG prizes they put all the names in again and chose 2 people to play. It was one large group of prizes and both bid on the same group. Every one was yelling these big figures like $30,0000, to $50,000.00, there was a trip, two cars, a small camper and furniture, I mean it was a lot of expensive things, the two players bid something like $20,000 and the other one said 32,000 some thing, everyone was thinking that it was not enough in the end they said that it only $18.000. something. They must have gotten it all on clearance or something. Cuz I would have thought it was more than that. I guess one of them should have bid $1.00 or something. Oh well it was entertaining. That's all for today. Later more vacation stories.
