Ass what do you do with it??

Subject: Words of Wisdom

Life is all about ass; you're either covering it,
laughing it off,
kicking it,
kissing it,
busting it,
trying to get a piece of it,
or dealing with someone behaving like one ....
Have a nice day.

Ok so it's not as funny if the ass doesn't wiggle.
That's what it did for me on the email I received.
Sorry I wish I knew how to make it wiggle.

So are you thinking about buying a new bed??

Watch out for those water bed pranksters. I was in search of a good funny video and came across this. I'm not sure what the language it sounds like German to me. At least they warned them to take out their keys and cell phone before they tried it. Iit's good for a laugh, be sure to watch it to the end the last couple is the best!

Saturday, December 24

Hi it's been a long time since I posted, I'm sure I wasn't missed too much but with Christmas sneaking up on me I just haven't had time or even felt like tying. I got this e-mail from my brother and it gave me a good chuckle mostly because I have received every one of these emails. Hope you enjoy it too.

This is a Hoot!!

My heartfelt appreciation goes out to all of you who have taken the time and trouble to send me "forwards" over the past 12 months. Thank you for making me feel safe, secure, blessed, and wealthy. Extra thanks for the ones that I have to open 15 times to get to the message.

Special thanks to whoever sent me the one about rat crap in the glue on envelopes 'cause I now have to go get a wet towel every time I need to seal an envelope. Also, I scrub the top of every can I open for the same reason. Because of your concern I no longer drink Coca Cola because it can remove toilet stains.

I no longer drink Pepsi or Dr Pepper since the people who make these products are atheists who won't put "Under God" on their cans.

I no longer use Saran wrap in the microwave because it causes cancer. I no longer check the coin return on pay phones because I could be pricked with a needle infected with AIDS.

I no longer use cancer-causing deodorants even though I smell like a water buffalo on a hot day. I no longer go to shopping malls because someone might drug me with a perfume sample and rob me.

I no longer receive packages from nor send packages by UPS or FedEx since they are actually Al Qaeda in disguise.
I no longer answer the phone because someone will ask me to dial a number for which I will get a phone bill with calls to Jamaica, Uganda, Singapore, and Uzbekistan.

I no longer eat KFC because their "chickens" are actually horrible mutant freaks with no eyes or feathers.

I no longer have any sneakers -- but that will change once I receive my free replacement pair from Nike.

I no longer have to buy expensive cookies from Neiman Marcus since I now have their recipe. I no longer worry about my soul because at last count I have 363,214 angels looking out for me. Thanks to you, I have learned that God only answers my prayers if I forward an e-mail to seven of my friends and make a wish within five minutes.

I no longer have any savings because I gave it to a sick girl who is about to die in the hospital (for the 1,387,258th time) I no longer have any money at all - but that will change once I receive the $15,000 that Microsoft and AOL are sending me for participating in their special email program.

Yes, I want to thank you so much for looking out for me that I will now return the favor! If you don't send this e-mail to at least 144,000 people in the next 7 minutes, a large pigeon with a wicked case of diarrhea will land on your head at 5:00 PM (CDT) this afternoon. I know this will occur because it actually happened to a friend of my next door neighbor's ex-mother-in-law's second husband's cousin's beautician.

Hope you all had a great Christmas!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR

More Christmas vedios... oh my

OK so the last one was so bad that I had to take it off, but as I was looking for another one I came to the conclusion that there are some very sucky Christmas videos, Yes it's true I checked out a few and even I'm not dorkie enough to put them on my blog. I don't think this one will be on here long either but until I find something better it will have to do. Well what do I have to say... Tonight is Tuesday and after tonight I only have 2 more nights and then Christmas Vacation!!! Yay! I will not have to work again until January 2006 I can't wait. Well I guess I shouldn't be wishing my life away but that's too bad. Being able to have a normal sleep pattern just feels so good. I wish I could say that I was done with my Christmas shopping but I thought I would wait until the week before Christmas since I have it off I can maybe make a trip to GF to do some shopping. There is a lot more places to go to. Dwight and I talked about going last week end but the weather was just too bad for a unnecessary road trip. I do have one gift bought but other than that I don't know what to get everyone and I'm always confused as to who all to buy for. Take the school for starters. The last few years I have been able to give gifts to all of the kids in my dorm. But now all the students are in the same area, there are just too many of them and the middle school and high school boys are very hard to find something inexpensive for all of them. Even though I had gifts that I bought last year for everyone that is in this dorm for this year I may not give any of the students gifts. Although there are a couple that I would like to try to give some thing too just because they are the ones that I have worked with the most. I thought I could maybe put it in their home going bag on the last day and the other students would never know that they got something. Yeah that might work. I'm sorry to say that this typing is making me tired so I'm going to get off the computer for now.

Monday, December 12

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!! Well almost anyway!

Crazy video for all you cazy Bloggers out there. I will be changing the video often. Check back and see what other wacky vetoes I can find.

Yay Alicia is coming home!

I got a call from Alicia this morning, and she told me that she will be taking the bus home tomorrow! Yep if she gets a job by January she will be more of less done with Job Corp! They will continue to follow her and make sure she gets something that is going to work for her. She tells me that she is going to miss it. I wasn't too surprised by that, She seemed so happy there. Even when she said she hated the place and couldn't wait to get out of there and go home. Dwight told me that when he left he missed it so much and wanted to stay. I guess he was right! Things are happening so fast. I think her head is going to be spinning for a while. She was telling me that there is a new girl that just started just a couple of days ago, and Alicia wishes she could be there to help her adjust. Alicia is the only person that she will talk to. I'm pretty sure she will find someone else there to help her but Alicia is worried about her. I'm sure everything will work out. See ya soon Alicia!!

but it shows the kind of weather we are having
this morning. :(

I was hoping for a better picture this morning
but the snow looks kind of cool don't you think?

OMG Where are all the blogs!!!

I don't know if this post is even going to work but here goes. I have been trying to look at some blogs and none of them will come up. I'm guessing that the surver is down. I hope all my bloger freinds can handle that! So many of them are going to have anxity attacks and or breakdowns. I don't know if they can handle not being able to blog or read blogs. I hope that they can fix it soon. I personlly will miss the reading more than the actual posting. I have some pictures for Alicia to see and I will try to put some on here, they aren't the best because I tried to take them through the window. I think I will try to take some outside tomorrow morning. And post again I'm sure they will be better pictures.

Tuesday, November 29

Well I made it though Thanksgiving and Alicia's Party!

Just thought I would share this picture taken just out side our front door one evening.

Last week end was a very busy time for me. I managed to get our family room presentable for company. There are still boxes and photos in there but for the most part it is some place that you can walk around in again and even sit on the sofa and chairs. Yeah it was that bad before. But I'm happy to say it's looking good now all I have to do is try to keep it that way! Most of the boxes are down stairs in the two spare bedrooms opps I mean junk rooms, because that's what they are right now. Now if I can go down there and try to organize it some how so this next summer I will be able to have that much needed rummage sale, the one I have been talking about for the last 3 or 4 maybe 5 years. I have not been able to do it because the garage has been full of stuff but Dwight got all that out of there this fall and so it will be possible to have enough room now for that sale! Now all I have to do is wait for the weather to change, lets see that should be in about 7 or 8 months. I'm hoping that in July I will be able to do that. Well enough of that. I also managed to cook a 23 lb turkey the largest I have ever cooked. It turned out good. I used a cooking bag, I would recommend it to any one that need to cook one. It keeps it nice and juicy. Then we had Alicia's graduation party. I can't remember the last time we had that many people in our house at one time. It was a good turn out. (Alicia if you are reading this you have gotten a couple of new cards in the mail, and I know at least one more that will be coming. So we will have to talk about what you want to do about that.) Any way I'm glad that things are back to normal and I'm not driving myself crazy wondering how I'm going to get everything done. It feels good! I think I have rambled on long enough now, until next time.

Saturday, November 19

Wow a whole day of cleaning.

Well we are getting closer to being ready for Alicia's Graduation open house. It's funny how easy it is to ignore the dirt in your house until you decide to throw a party and then you start to do some serious cleaning and it's like woo how did it get so bad. I guess it's a good thing that we are going to have this party for Alicia. I got done with the entryway and the living room and 1/2 of the dining room done today. When I put it that way it doesn't sound like much, but I pulled out the furniture and vacuumed behind the couch and tables and everything, dusted and polished stuff, and even washed the plant leaves so they are shiny. So yeah I think the rooms look really good. Dwight had a busy day too. He got some work done on his pickup (so now he can get out of his pickup without rolling down the window and using the outside door handle. He finished putting the mop board around in the kitchen. Then he put up mop board around in the bathroom. Little job big improvement. So I think we both got a lot accomplished. I'm taking Monday and Tuesday off from work(so I will have like 6 days off in a row YAY!!) because we are going to go to Minot on Wednesday to get Alicia for the holiday and her party. Job Corp is having a Thanksgiving dinner and a program. I'm looking forward to that. Then I wanted to have some extra time so I can get the family room cleaned up, man that's going to be a challenge!! But I think I'm up to it? It's one of those rooms where we just started putting things and the next thing you know it looks like something you would see on that program Clean Sweep where they come in and there is barely room to walk through the room so they take every thing out of the room and have a big yard sale and then remodel. Well I won't get the remodel thing but if I can find a place for all the stuff I will be happy. I think we are going to need the room for the party. Even if only my family comes it will be a houseful. I have 6 brothers and sisters and with their family's and their children's family's it turns out to be quite a gathering. It's been a while since we have had any of our holidays in someone's home. Because of the volume of people we have found it easier for everyone if we rent some place like the parish center or TJ's ( a pizza place.) So yeah it will be interesting to say the least. Well I have to go do my dishes then I'm going to just sit and watch TV because I have earned it and there tomorrow I will tackle other parts of the house.

Friday, November 11

Just a short note,

Today Dwight is out doing what may be his last good day for metal detecting. Yeah the weather is going to make a turn for the worse. Temperatures are going to drop and I guess the snow is not far away. I hope he finds something good, he is going out to the school which has been around since 1890. He said he is going to check out where Old Main use to be. That's the first building that was put up. It came down some time in the 70's (I think?) He was pretty excited to go and left early like 8:00 this morning. I wished him good luck be for he left. But if your reading this today cross your fingers, for him. (Yes Alicia we will go looking for your ring sometime it just won't be until spring now.)

I will be leaving to pick up Alicia from JC with three of her friends that will be coming along for the ride to DL. I think I will be leaving early maybe 11:00 this morning. I want to do a little shopping. Alicia if your reading this, I will have my phone if you want to call me. If for some reason you can leave earlier let me know.
well that's it for now..... Later

Tuesday, November 8

Well I'm back

Not sure what I'm going to write about? Dwight got a flu shot yesterday and today he has the flu! Go figure. They want $20.00 this year and I think I might just skip it. Well that's exciting huh?

Oh we are working on planning Alicia's Graduation Party Yayyy. April volunteered to make up the invitations. I hope she can get them done some time this week and when Alicia comes home this week end we can get them ready to send out. I will have to get some stamps, and I think some envelops too.

This morning I tried to sew up the love seat, I think if I had the right color of thread it would look better. I think I'm going to go to Walmart in the morning, and see what they have. Any ways that's why I haven't been writing my life is just so interesting I can't decide what I should write about.

The whole school thing is working out better than I expected. Last night we had both of the " brothers" awake. Jordan started at 2:00 am and we just took turns sending him back to bed until his brother woke up at 4am and we figured if he could stay up we better make it fair and let Jordan stay up too. They are for the most part good kids, and well behaved they always say please and thank you. I just wish that they could sleep better. I think they will both sleep better tonight, well... I hope so anyway. Marissa woke up at 6:00am and she has a new makeup kit. So this morning I was putting on eye shadow, blush, and some nail polish. She was so happy. I brought Candace some shirts from home that no one is wearing and she loved them, she tried to wear a sweat shirt with another button up shirt over it. I had to tell her she would be too hot with both of them on so she took the top one off and said she would save it for tomorrow. She also has new glasses. They look very good on her, I hope she doesn't loose them. She seems to do that a lot. She wears them pretty well most of the time she just would rather not, and lays them down and forgets them. Well that's my life for today. I hope I have something better the next time.

Wednesday, November 2

Things are so different in the dorm.

There have been a lot of changes at work the last couple of weeks. There has been talk of using the boy's dorm area, in the Smith build, for some foreign exchange college students. They want to come to the US to learn English at the College here in town and possibly take college classes too. It's all a big maybe so far but since one of the counselors decided to quit. They(I'm not sure who they are) decided that it would be a good idea to move all the deaf students into one dorm. So now instead High school and middle school girls and elementary boys and girls (11)we now have all the high school and middle school boys( 7) then Tuesdays and Thursdays day students (about 6 or 7). So yeah, so much for quiet mornings. Karen the night watch from the other building has also moved over. Which is kind of nice. We each have our own TV to watch but just a partisan wall to separate them so we can hear each others TV. But we are working it out. It's nice to have some one to talk to when we start to get tired and we can take smoke breaks if we want. So that's OK. It's just so much more crowded in the dorm now and the older boys, well some of them any way seem to think that they should always get their way and pick on the little ones. But enough of my complaining it is what it is and complaining really won't help anything or change any thing. So we just adjust right? So far it has worked out better than I expected but it's only been 4 days. Oh and I get Friday off, It's the start of the hunting season. Yeah a good reason to not have school. All those kids just love that hunting season. I often wonder exactly how many actually go hunting. I mean even elementary students get the day off how old do you have to be to go hunting any way? But if it makes everyone happy who am I to say anything against it? It's a day off for me too so YAY. I'll take it, no mater what reason the Head Hunchoes come up with. Well it's my nap time got to be going.

Saturday, October 29

Happy Halloween!!

Happy Birthday to Dwight. I couldn't find a Birthday video. Sorry:(

I thought I would help you all get into the mood for Halloween, Yeah April I hope you enjoy this one. It's #100 on the top 100 video list. I thought why not it's Halloween right. (well almost anyway)

Friday, October 28

Hey did anyone miss me??

Yeah I've been lazy in the blogging area. Well for that mater I've been just plain lazy. Any way I'm here now at work and for some reason I can't do much on this computer before my fingers go numb. I think it's the angle that my wrists are in here. Any way I have a new cell phone now and I have been just having fun learning how to use it and take pictures with it. It's amazing all you can do with the cell phones these days. It even has a zoom! I order a USB cable and got it today. Well the first one any way. I ordered on line and I didn't think the first one went through because I didn't get a invoice # and/or a confirmation #. It never made it to the final page that tells you that it went through. So dummy that I am I order it again the next day. Well they both went through so I'm going to refuse delivery and wait for a refund on the second one. Today I installed the software and played with it trying to get it to work and nothing. I went to bed for a nap and Dwight sits down and by the time I got up he had it working and was downloading pictures off the disk and from our computer. So at least I know it will work for me too. Tomorrow I'm going to be going to Minot and pick up Alicia for the week-end. Dwight got his metal detector and has been digging holes in the yard. He says it's going to pay for its self eventually. Yeah he has found hmmm let me think... Oh yeah about $ .19, a pop can tab, some kind of tin, a metal cap that looks old, and an antique marble,(well I think it's an antique) Not bad for two evenings in the yard. Can't wait to see what he will dig up next. Well that's about all I have to say. Oh one other thing the kitcthen is finished!!! I will gets some pictures and post them next time. I still have to put some things away in the coubords but every thing else is finished. Hope you enjoy my new vedio.

Monday, October 17

Mr. Mom

I love these new videos ...... I would like to dedicate this one to all the new parents out there. It's Mr. Mom by Lonestar (which also happens to be my favorite country band.) With all these new babies coming along I thought this would be fun to share. So you new mommies out there, be sure to share it with the new daddies. May be if they can see what we go though some days and will a little more sympathitic? Enjoy! I think I will change my video once a week. So stop back and see me again next week. Don't be afraid to comment.

Friday, October 14

Well I got the music but....

Yay!!! I managed to put a song on my blog and I put it under my Zoey but for some reason they both dropped to the bottom of my blog. Tried different things to change it but I guess it's the way it's going to stay. At least for now. It's Alcohol by Brad Palsly. Yes April it's country but if you listen to the words I think you will find it's kind of funny, and so true! It's one of the newer ones not old country. I really don't like old country either. I just started listening to more country because in Devils Lake it's country, oldies, or rap. So yeah I have turned to country. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
Hope you all will like my choice. Yoo Hoo!! I got it right I can't believe I actually fixed it and got the blog the way I wanted it. Yaaaaay ME!

Thursday, October 13

Well let's see what do I have to write about??

The weather... Today the fog is thicker than I can ever remember it being before. I hear that the sun is going to be shining soon and that will be the end of that. It's also suppose to actually get to be in the 60's today, That's pretty good for North Dakota this time of the year, especially since we have already had our first snow storm. Yeah the weather in ND is like no where else. But I'm not complaining at least we don't get hurricanes or earth quakes. I'll take snow storms and tornadoes any time. Of course we have been fairly lucky for awhile no weather too sever for some time now and they say that we are suppose to get a mild winter this year. Well that is if you can believe what the weather man says. Well enough of that.

I talked to Alicia last night. She went on a road trip to Grand Forks with Mr. Ellingson (April does that name bring back some memories) and his secretary. He is the Center Director for the Job Corp program in Minot. The meeting is called "The Industry counsel meeting" and she will talking to a lot of people about the program. Its like recruiting for Job Corps to find work palcements after the students have completed the program. She said they chose her over the more than 250 students to represent their program in Minot. She was a little over overwhelmed wondering why they would pick her, out of all the other student employee's, some of which have been there longer than she has. Well let's see.... She recently received her HS diploma and was also appointed a center ambassador, one of only 10 on center. Oh and she was also given a silver card. There is only one step higher (gold). Yeah, I'm guessing maybe that has some thing to do with it. She has been giving a lot of tours and I think that she knows the programs inside and out. Dwight and I have noticed that she is becoming more confident than she use to be, more of a leader than a follower and I think that they are seeing the same changes in her. We are so proud of all her accomplishments. I strongly support the program and I know that it's been tough but she had made the best of the situation and has grown in so many ways. She told me that she had to give a speech about the program and wasn't told until she got there. She said she had to make it up as she went along. I'm pretty sure she would not have been able to do that before she went there. It sounds to me like everyone was very impressed and she was even offered a couple of jobs when she completes her trade which is MSO (medical office support). Alicia I know you will read this and I just want you to know you are doing a great job keep it up! I love you. Mom

Wednesday, October 12

I got this as an e-mail and just thought I would share

WORDS WOMEN USE

FINE This is the word women use to end an argument when they are right and you need to shut up.

FIVE MINUTES If she is getting dressed, this is half an hour. Five minutes is only five minutes if you have just been given 5 more minutes to watch the game before helping around the house.

NOTHING This is the calm before the storm. This means "something," and you should be on your toes. Arguments that begin with 'Nothing' usually end in...

"Fine"GO AHEAD This is a dare, not permission. Don't do it.

LOUD SIGH This is not actually a word, but is a non-verbal statement often misunderstood by men.

A "Loud Sigh" means she thinks you are an idiot and wonders why she is wasting her time standing here and arguing with you over "Nothing"

THAT'S OKAY This is one of the most dangerous statements that a woman can make to a man. "That's Okay" means that she wants to think long and hard before deciding how and when you will pay for your mistake.

THANKS A woman is thanking you. Do not question it or faint. Just say you're welcome.

Send this to the men you know to warn them about future arguments they can avoid if they remember the terminology! And send it to your women friends to give them a good laugh!

Oh, and before we forget ...
"Whatever"
...it's a woman's way of saying SCREW YOU!

This is an old picture that I have been tring to post in my profile, April did it for me once and I added a pet and lost my picture so here I am now trying to put it back. Posted by Picasa
It was a productive weekend! Dwight got the siding finished on the garage in the backyard. He stayed home on Friday and worked so hard. Saturday he worked some more and I did laundry and mopped my new floor. That evening we went to a wedding reception for my nephew. It was at Thirsty bar, kind of a different place for such an occasion, but for the small amount of guest it worked out fine. I never knew they even had a place to do stuff like that. It was upstairs, in the bar. It was kind of loud and the acoustics were awful but it looked like everyone had a good time. I was a little surprised that they could have little kids in there but Diane, mother of the groom said that as long as the kitchen is open the can have kids in there. They will have 6 kids between them the bride, Sharon Moon, has 4 and Darryl has two. After the reception was over they had a DJ and a dance in the bar area. Those little kids always have such a good time at wedding dances. It's so much fun to watch them get into the music! Well we didn't stay long, Dwight can't take the noise. On Sunday He put the finishing touches on the garage and I worked on some of those annoying little things that we had left to take care of in the kitchen. It's so nice to see that project so close to being finished. I did a little touch up painting and finished the wall paper. I did some spray painting on my receipt box. I painted with a spray paint that looks like hammered silver when it's finished I really like the way it turned out. I have a lazy Susan type of container the has all my cooking utensils in it and I spray painted that to look like pewter. Then on the garbage can I panted the lid the same color as the lazy Susan thing, I will finsh the rest if that later. It turned out good too. I don't do too much spray painting but I was happy with the things I painted that way. Oh and we got our new light up. I t was kind of a pain getting it up because it was warped but once it was up I think it's going to be nice. It puts out more light than our old one. This morning Alicia called and said the she officially has received her diploma!!!!!!!! Yahoooooo Alicia. You did it!! I knew you would! I know it's been tough but I bet it feels good to see that official document that you worked so hard for ! Love you!

Friday, September 30

This was going to be one of her graduation pictures. Why am I putting it up now?? Because she called last night and she has completed all of her HS diploma requirements!!! Posted by Picasa

This is Alicia when she was just so cute. Don't you just want to pinch those little cheeks? Posted by Picasa

Yayyyyyy Alicia!

Alicia called us last night and she told us that she has completed all of there HS diploma yesterday!! It was the best news. I am so proud of her for working so hard and getting it finished so early. Dwight promised her a different car when she finished her diploma and I promise her a party. I guess we will have to start making plans. She does still have maybe 3-4 weeks to finish her trade which is Medical Office Support. So we have some time to plan. It's not the planning I'm worried about it's getting the house ready. That's going to take some time. Today I'm going to drive to Minot to pick her up for a weekend break and I think she really deserves it. I'm going to try to get up around 2pm and leave here by 3pm I would like to get back because Dwight's old boss and his wife will be in town and I want to be able to see them while they are here. They are going to have a open house kind of thing at the Pizza Ranch tonight from 6:30-9:00 so I hope I can get back early enough to visit with them, I also need to go to a couple of stores while I'm in Minot. I want to go to Walmart to look for a valance to go with the curtains in the kitchen. I got them here at Walmart but they didn't have the valance so I'm hoping to find one there. Then I want to check out Menard's for a light which is also for the kitchen. I have been procrastinating buying a shower gift for my nephew's future wife, Shannon. Well I better get to bed I have a buzy day ahead of me. I just had to share this with everyone.
Hats off to you Alicia!!!!!!!!! We love you!

Monday, September 26

Yayyyyy The Kitchen looks like a Kitchen!!

Well I'm so happy that the kitchen can be used again. Although I didn't complain too much when we had to go out to eat so often. Except for the expense that is, but it really isn't that bad for only two people to eat out.
I 'm getting use to the stove it's so different from my old one. All those buttons. The microwave is the same way. There is a button for every thing, I think it takes me longer to pick a button than it does to cook something LOL. Really though I think once I get use to it I will really like it. Like I said we still have some finishing touches to do, but we will work on them whenever. Under the sink there is a blank drawer. I want to stencil some roses there, but I'm still trying to decide on the colors. Dwight has talked about putting some frosted glass with some kind of sketching on it. We have a neighbor ( someone I graduated high school with) that does that kind of work. Then he wants to put some lighting behind it. I thought that would be cool too. But I'm not so sure what something like that would cost, We will be looking into it. Then over by the stove there is an area we left without wall paper because things are so tight in that area that it would just tare and if we would have kept the old oven none of that area would have been open. But now that we have a different oven/microwave we have to fix that area, it's a good thing that we have extra paper left. One last thing to fix is the small cabinet that is between the stove and fridge, We are not sure if we want to change what we have or order something with the same counter top as the other side. I love the pewter in that display case. I will have to go looking for more things like that to put on the top of the other cupboard. The one above the stove and fridge. Well that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

My pewter colection, The plate on the top belonged to my grandmoter Hammond. The other items I picked up at auctions. Posted by Picasa

Fridge In this area we need to paint in the corner and there is suppose to have a sm. counter beteen the fridge and oven. Posted by Picasa

Oven and Microwave, it was a tough job getting the microwave in but it's working now and we have a little painting and wall paper to patch up. Posted by Picasa

Another short story about Zoey.

Well a few days ago I decided to put Zoey's water and food dish back in the kitchen where it has been since we have had her. I had moved it to the dining room while we were working on the kitchen. That same night Dwight and I were eating in the dining room and Zoey came from the kitchen and just meow two time very loud and almost like she was yelling at us. Dwight and I just looked at each other and said what was that all about? I said, "I moved her food back to the kitchen this morning do you suppose she doesn't like it there?" Well I got up and move her dish back to the dining room close to our table and she just walked over to it and started eating! I guess she knows what she wants. And sometimes we can figure it out what it is and other times we'll never know. Oh well. This is my excitement for the week. Oh wait... Did I say that Dwight picked up the oven and microwave yesterday Yayyyyy! Now all he has to do is figure out a way to mount the microwave above the oven and to the wall, it needs a separate outlet, (it's own power source) and of course it needs to be grounded. Yeah well we live in an old house, and our electrical box has no free area to put a new outlet in. I'm not sure how he is going to do that. (and I don't think he know yet either). But, I'm hoping it will get done this weekend and then I can take pictures and post them. I have faith that he'll think of a way, he always does. You rock Dwight! Just for the record I appreciate every thing that you have been doing to the kitchen I know that it has turned in to a much larger project than what we first planed, but it is turning out great!

My kitchen is almost finished!

Well this last weekend "we" or should I say Dwight got a lot done! The floor is in and the fridge was picked up and is in! WooHoo! We also decided to get a new stove and microwave. Yeah! They will be here this week and then I can call it finished! Dwight will have to figure out how he is going to mount the microwave. It has to go over the top of the stove. The oven/microwave we had before was all in one unit and is no longer made the only place I could find one was on E-bay and the choices were avocado green (ewe) or white and black, but I'm thinking that it would be as old as the one we already have which was harvest gold and in the same condition so why not go all the way and get something new. "Bite the bullet" as Dwight put it. I have been putting some of the stuff back in their places and making a few changes along the way. I'm going through every thing before I decide if it will deserve to be put back into the kitchen. I don't want it to be as cluttered as it was before. We will also have special pick(garbage) for large items the we want to throw out what good timing! I think by this weekend I will be able to take some pictures and post them and you can all see the final results. I was worried about the floor at first because it was so bold that I thought maybe I had gone too far. But once the black fridge was in I loved it! It made a big difference. I can't wait until we get the new oven/stove, which is black and white and the microwave which is black and it will take some time to get use to. The one we have now is very low wattage. The new one will be a good 75% stronger! I'm really looking forward to using it. Well I'm getting tired of typing so until the next time......

April & Alicia Seeing is believing!

OK girls.... This is going to be a shock to both of you. I don't know how to prepare you for what you are about to see. Yes, I was so surprised myself. I never thought the day would come. I don't know where to start. I was just sitting on the couch minding my own business when out of the blue here comes Zoey. At first she just did the same old rubbing against my legs. Then she turned around to show me her butt. Just like any other day. But it wasn't like other days... She turned towards me and jumped onto my lap!!! She made herself comfortable and just laid there like she does it every day! But you both know that is not normal for her. Either she is getting old and doesn't realize that it is me or she is just getting more comfortable with me. Yeah after what maybe 3 years of feeding her, cleaning her litter box, brushing her, and trying to play with her. She has finally acknowledged me as someone she can trust. Wow I'm still in shock! I yelled at Dad "quick get the camera the girls will never believe it if it isn't any proof....So here you go.

She is not being held against her will. Honest! Posted by Picasa
